Under the EU AI Act and GDPR, organisations must ensure that AI is used responsibly, and this course gives project management professionals the know-how to do precisely that. 

You’ll examine the compliance pitfalls that can derail projects when AI is used for productivity tracking, meeting summarisation, or communication analysis. 

One example follows a company that implemented an AI-driven project management tool to monitor tasks and attendance without conducting a privacy impact assessment or informing staff; another describes a manager who uploaded unfiltered meeting
notes, including sensitive performance feedback, into an external AI service; a third looks at a team using AI to analyse email response times and collaboration patterns without telling employees. 

Each case shows how neglecting transparency, assessments, or anonymisation can undermine trust and violate data protection obligations. Building on these examples, the course guides you through best practices, including performing privacy and legitimate interest assessments before adopting AI tools, clearly communicating with team members and stakeholders about what data will be processed and why, anonymizing or pseudonymizing sensitive information when using external services, and thoroughly testing tools for accuracy and security. 

You will learn how the AI Act intersects with GDPR requirements in a project management context, including principles such as data minimisation, purpose limitation, and fairness.
