Helping Great Companies Get Better at Compliance

Course Overview

Cut through the legalese and protect forests and your organization. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) bans the importing of goods from land that has been cleared or damaged. It covers anyone who brings these goods into the EU, sells them within the EU, or exports them outside of the EU. Companies must demonstrate that their products did not contribute to deforestation, comply with the laws of the country of origin, and be supported by a due diligence statement.

In this course, you’ll learn by doing. You’ll learn how to map the origin of your materials, collect location data, and assess deforestation risks. We’ll talk about high-risk commodities such as cattle, palm oil, soy, wood, cocoa, coffee, and rubber, and the products made from them. You’ll learn how to distinguish between compliant and non-compliant goods, and how to maintain accurate records for audits and authorities.

You’ll also get ready-to-use templates, including a due-diligence checklist to help you comply.

Who Is This For?

This course is intended for all employees to help them understand their responsibilities under the EU Deforestation Regulation and equip them to recognise high-risk materials, supply chain red flags, and non-compliant products:

  1. Supplychain and procurement professionals - responsible for sourcing raw materials and finished goods within the EU or exporting outside the EU.
  2. Compliance officers and legal advisers - tasked with interpreting EU environmental legislation and ensuring company‑wide compliance.
  3. Sustainability and ESG managers - integrating EUDR compliance with broader ESG reporting initiatives.
  4.  Executives and product managers - redesigning processes to meet EUDR requirements.
  5. Data and operations teams - supporting geolocation mapping, risk assessments, and record‑keeping for due diligence statements.
